To the park

It finally decided to be warm in Utah so I took the kids to the park with Brittany and Tenley was hilarious. Tenley was at first not wanting to be in the sand then she decided it was fun and started to climb on the jungle gym I went to search for her and she was in a tunnel laughing that she was hiding from me it was really cute, so I had to share the picture. Yes that is sand on her face she had to just give it a taste.

After the Valentines rant of '08 I figured that I should also write of JBJ doing something good. My day started with getting to sleep in an extra hour and then being woken up to flowers and breakfast in bed. After eating and sitting around for a bit I decided that I was tired and I needed a nap so JBJ took over kid duty while I had a nice nap, after waking from my nap he proceeded to give me a full pedicure-which was so awesome I thought I might die. This is not the end, I went to teach my lesson at church and JBJ stayed home and cleaned the whole house-even making the bed. So I just had to give him some props because I love him so much. Also gotta give a shot out to Pacey for all the homemade handy crafts that he is so skilled at and I have no idea where to put.

Prepare yourself for some complaining.

Everyone don't get me wrong I do enjoy yard work but.......it is NEVER ENDING! I feel like every Saturday is spent working on a yard that I really don't even like all that much(I need about eight hundred more plants and lush grass to really like it. My other gripe is that my two children have ruined my back for the rest of my life-I am having problems even mowing the lawn now and that is not good. Despite all of my whining though I am proud that I do try to have a good yard on a very slim budget and don't worry my garden is going to be awesome this year and that is what I really care about( I will put up some pics once it starts growing and you will see).

Finally a Vacation!!!

JBJ's family has a condo down in St. George and we decided this week that we really neaded a vacation so we went down. It was so fun, turns out that we really needed to get it away. We left snow up at our house to goinging down to St. George in 70's and swimming, and swimming is what we did Tenley was so excited all she did was laugh and kick in the water and Pacey turned in to his fishy self and wanted to stay in the pool the whole day-to bad for the both of them both of their parents are done with the sun pretty quick after going out in it. We also got to go to the pizza factory and I got to show all of them breadsticks on a stick and the good old cookie dough that you can buy. So all in all it was a really fun couple of days.

The Day that I have been waiting for!

So the day that I have been waiting for, for almost 14 long months has arrived. We have practiced ma ma about 8 thosand times she had dada, bra bra, hi, and thank you down to a tee but mama no way. Well after much practice the day arrived the day my baby girl would say mama, I told her mama and she started to say it the only problem is that she says it baba which makes it sound a little like she has a cold every time that she says it but I will take at least I feel like I finally exist in her world. Oh, and for those of you that are thinking right now-she is probably just hungry and wants to eat, but for you naysayers she doesn't even take a bottle and hasn't for months so whatever. I still love that I am her baba.

Contest Winner!!

So I was volunteering today at Pacey's school unaware that they were going to be having an assembly for a reading program that they had done at the school, so we headed to the auditorium and I was really nervous that Pacey would not get a prize (As those who know Pacey-know that he is all about prizes). So we got there and I was suprised to find that Pacey did win he won the most money donations in his class. After the assembly we headed back to his class and I came a little after them and Pacey was waiting at the door to show me the awesome blue ribbon that he had won, he was so proud. I was reprimanded by my sister that I don't blog enough but some times to me it seems that no one wants to hear about the mundanes of my everyday life. Things are a lot the same right now besides Brittany and the kids moving back, I have been able to cook food for people that are excited to eat my food unlike my family (JBJ would rather have Wendys and pacey pulls out his magnifying glass and scalpel at the first of each meal to find anything that is considered a spice or vegetable-awesome). Tenley is hilarious right now all that she does is say hi-but they are all different for each situation; the church hi is loud and followed by a laugh, there is the getting woken up high that is quiet with eyes that are half open and the waving hand to her self, then lastly there is the I am doing something naughty hi it is very high pitched and fast and she tries to look as sweet as she possibly can- this last one is the one that is hardest to not laugh at or get mad at her. I feel like I never say anything about Pacey- he is still the same one of the best little kids that I know and I am so proud that I was able to raise a kid that good.
