JBJ's work Party

Saturday was JBJ's summer work party for the families. They have games for the kids, rides, treats, and face painting. My little dare devil Tenley is not afraid of any ride at Lagoon but when I put her on the swings she decided that she was scared and screamed and cried the whole ride-it was awesome. Pacey had a great time though he loves anything that he can win a prize at, he won Tenley a bunch of stuff and some stuff for himself(he is an awesome brother he always thinks of her first). JBJ was the true winner though they had a little game where the first kid that caught him got a prize-my husband not ever willing to back down from competition proceed to run full speed toward a garbage can with the idea to jump over it-instead he ran into it because a little girl was there that he had not noticed-so as he falls to the ground he is jumped on by like 5 kids and Tenley is screaming in fear that these kids have killed her favorite person.

First day of 1st grade

Today was Paceys first day of first grade at Syracuse Arts Academy. After the length of this summer I thought for sure that I would be kicking him out of the car, but as usual I cried a little. I just can't believe that he is almost 7 I feel like an old woman.

My neighbors have an apricot tree and they let us take whatever we want from it so this year I decided that I was going to make jam. I should have been like the pioneer woman and taken pictures as I went but when I can my kitchen looks like a bomb went off in it so I decided against that. I feel like such the housewife when I do stuff like this and JBJ finds it quite attractive.

Dressing up with daddy

JBJ and Tenley were playing the other day and it turned into dress up time, not the dress up time were she is putting on a cape or a crown or a tutu-no the kind where he puts his dirty socks on her and she trapses around the house like she is the Queen of Sheeba.

Girls Camp

So I am the Mia Maid advisor and this week it was girls camp and I got to go. We went on Tuesday up to Lake Lyman(clear in the crap up by Wyoming). It is so funny to be an adult and go to girls camp I had to try and figure out how to be the adult in the situation since I was not ever the best camper when I was at girls camp. It was really fun though I stayed up all hours of the night playing games and just chatting with the girls. The funny thing was while I was up there I got called one of the young women about eight times two of the times I was getting in trouble-I tried to explain to them that I am almost 28 years old with two children and no one believed me it started to get a little crazy. There are canoes for the girls to go on the lake
and acrost the lake there are camp grounds, so the girls went out on the boats and as the rounded the corner a boat full of boys came out with a pirate sign that they had made and splashed the girls it was hilarious. It was a ton of fun but I missed JBJ and the kids so much! Thanks to Brittany for being my kids surrogate mother while I was gone-you are so awesome.

Happy anniversary.

I left for girls camp on tuesday, which just happened to be me and JBJ's anniversary-so I just wanted to let him know how happy I am to have him in my life.

BEAR LAKE 2008

So last week we went up to the cabin at bear lake for some time in the water, we had a ton of fun. Tenley my little fearless thing wanted to ride the four wheelers all day, she also went on the wave runners and the boat and nothing phased her she just laughed and gave us all the parade wave. We had a whole week of fun the kids and the big kid JBJ built some awesome sand castles(I didn't get any pictures though) my favorite sculpture was the one that JBJ made for my nephew McKay it was R2D2 and McKay made all of his buttons and mechanical parts out of seashells-it was adorable. I love Bear Lake and all but the sand in the swimsuits makes my OCD cleaning problem go way out of wack anyone else with me?
