The hay ride from hell!

If your parents ever call you and ask you to go on a hay ride in December to see the lights-just say no! I am still nursing windburn from 2 weeks ago-Merry Christmas.

What my kids do for fun Vol. 2

Everytime JBJ goes out to clean the driveway when it snows my kids are tearing the contents of my closet out to go and play. Last week JBJ helped them to make an adorable snow man they were sad the next day when they woke up to a decapitated snow man but I like to call those "life experiences".

I have been busy the last two weeks making stuff for a boutique (don't ask me why I am doing this because it is making me crazy-but whatever). Tenley and Pacey have been way more than helpful in all of my efforts, Tenley was being an awesome daughter and was babysitting all of the dolls that I had made, and this is what I saw when I walked into my front room.

Ignore the mess in the back that is my crafting area-it may look like a dining room but it is not.

Sushi Sushi Sushi

A new fish market opened in Layton that is awesome, on Saturday me and JBJ dcecided that we were in the mood for sushi but not in the mood to spend $70 so we were gonna make it ourselves. When we got to the fish market the guy sold us sushi grade tuna for $10 a pound-a freaking steal-so we got that and some shrimp and headed home to give it a go. I made spicy tuna and we did some tempura batter for the shrimp-Umm yah it was amazing I ate so much that I got sick and we only spent like 25 dollars. We may now have to designate saturday as sushi days! Anyone want to come?

First real haircut.

Tenleys hair has been a hot mess since birth from baldness, to mullet-esque, and to as my brother called it "The Crypt Keeper" hair. I have trimmed it a couple of times but this was the first real haircut, hopefully the front will grow I pray.

Happy Halloween

Time for the obligatory halloween post. I am too cheap to buy a $40 costume from the costume store so I decided to torture myself and sew them there costumes-a couple pull apart times later-we ended up with a Tinkerbell and Toad from Mario Bros. This is 16 gigs of pure happiness-I think this is the best birthday present since the glow worm of '84. Love you honey.

Birt-day Party

Tenley got invited to her first actually birthday party and she was pretty excited. The party was at 2, so I got to hear from about 7:30 to 2 that she was ready to go to the party. She loved every minute of it and I am still hearing about it today.

Conference Crafts

Me and my sister Megan decided that this conference we were going to do crafts while the husbands went to the Priesthood session-and they turned out awesome. We made a bunch of hair things, dishtowel dresses, a bunch of leggins, and I made a bow holder-I think that we are going to make this a tradition every year! My camera is broken so this is the best I can do.

Glass Tea Sets-Really?

So on Saturday I hung out with some of my high school friends and we took a little trip to IKEA to do some shopping. Well it turns out that I am a huge sucker for tea sets-even if they are glass I feel the need to buy them. I debated the whole glass sets through the entire store then in the scratch and dent area they had one for $2.99 and I was sold. Well it lasted 3 days-I think that is pretty good-no?

LaBoR DaY

Anyone else with me and adore a three day weekend-anyone *crickets*. Well we had an awesome weekend with Paceys birthday saturday a lazy sunday and a fun monday. We decided monday morning that we were going to have a BBQ, so I made some potato salad, BBQ chicken, and some delicious cucumbers from the garden. JBJ finally fixed Pacey's bike so he got to do some bike riding along with Tenley-only a few crashes happened and one crying incident but Pacey did great.

Saturday was JBJ's summer work party i.e. Pacey's favorite day. There is food and for Pacey unlimited games to win a bunch of useless crap that he loves and I love to throw away. This year they had a bunch of competitions for all the different offices like baloon toss, tug of war, and the very disgusting pie eating contest-JBJ's office won almost everything I ended up carrying out a 9 pound crunch bar. It ended up being fun but I ended up with strep throat and I am going to blame it on the party.

DiNoSauRs

I took the kids yesterday and met Jade at the Dinosaur Park, we decided to have a picnic and let the kids play. Everyone should be advised that there is a terrifyingly huge fish in the pond that I am pretty sure has a full mouth of teeth and it is disgusting! Tenley was hilarious at the park she loved all the dinosaurs and when we went in side to the robotic ones she was not even scared she walked right up to the fence-she is a tough little chick.

9 Years and counting

Today me and JBJ have been married for 9 years-I love you more everyday.

Bear Lizzle

We did our big family vaca. to Bear Lake a couple of weeks ago(I know I am totally on the ball). We had an awesome time I was able to have some of my friends from school even come up and spend a couple of days up there-and school them in a little game called pounce. It is always fun to have a break and head up to bear lake-it so nice up there so thanks mom and dad for having an awesome beach house.
